But that was all very much later since Miss Dylan didn't open her eyes until 11:40. About 14 hours straight sleep. I think she might be caught up!!
After our "lunch" of cereal and fresh strawberries (because Frosted Flakes don't really have any flavor unless you put strawberries on them, or so I am told), we did the morning things and then waited for the rain to stop. And waited. And played Old Maid. And waited. It was a very rainy day.
Finally, we just went - long sleeves, long pants, jacket, hat, poncho. And, bingo, a bike!
We did a short practice round and then to the store for dinner stuff and to home. The heated house was welcome when we got back !
While Werner went to get an overdue haircut, we did a little cross stitch. We'll see how the project comes out....
A little help with preparing dinner was welcome - chicken, broccoli, mash, fruit salad for her, green salad for us. It was good - and more than enough. Tomorrow there's broccoli soup on the menu.
And because it is light for so long, even on gray and rainy days, we took a little walk through the cemetery behind us. We looked at lots of old stones and counted the watering cans (!)
Then after a couple of hands of UNO,
and a couple of chapters of the book, to bed....
Tomorrow, the market and a wedding!! We're really hoping the weather is better. Really. It would be hard to be worse.
