Party Time

Since I knew we would be late getting to bed tonight, I let Dylan sleep in :-)  It was only 12:30 when she got up.  So she had a lunch of Frosted Flakes and strawberries while Werner and I had a big salad of tomatoes and cucumbers and mozzarella.  It's all good.

Today was the big wedding party hosted by Christoph and Mirja.  René, Rima and Amina came from Hamburg and so there was little time for much else.  We did take a bike ride along the Aue, the little stream that flows nearby and into the harbor.  We saw some kids playing in the stream, some ducks in the pond at the Schloss.  Just enough exercise before a shower and hair washing to get ready for our guests!

It's always always fun to see how kids connect!  Though Amina is 13 and a real teenager, she is nevertheless NOT a grownup and Dylan took to her immediatley.  They did a litte work on the puzzle before getting dressed for the party.

The party was really nice.  The food was great for us grown ups and OK for the kids.  They were happy to snack on some Pringles after the meal!

I didn't take the camera along when the girls went for a walk after the meal and before the dancing.  They had a great time running up and down the artificically mounded hills nearby, playing hide-and-seek and kicking a found soccer ball to each other.

Then we danced!  And talked and snacked and danced.  Everyone had a good time.

But it has to come to an end and so it did - in bed at 12:30 to get up at 8 for breakfast at 9!  No story reading tonight!!
